I was able to attend the funeral services in Chicago and it was very healing to be there to mourn with my family. I regret not spending much time with my aunt over the past several years. We were very close when I was younger, she was like a second mother to me, but we have been separated by many miles and busy lives more recently. Death can be so devasting but it is times such as these that we all have a choice to make. We can either turn to God for peace and comfort or turn away from Him in our grief and indifference.
